2012 June

This issue of the Chronicle is filled with commemorations and celebrations.

The community’s Yom Hashoah ve’Hagevurah ceremony was poignant and powerful; while the youth movements held a moving commemoration on Yom Hazikaron to remember Israel’s fallen soldiers.

All this made the Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations even more meaningful and joyful, as the community celebrated the existence of a Jewish state.

Among the many exciting upcoming events is the Sinai Indaba, which brings a range of top international speakers and thinkers to Cape Town in June. You can read about this important initiative throughout this issue of the Chronicle.

As always, the community is thriving and flourishing, with numerous events and activities happening at every level and in every sphere, which is so evident on these pages. Enjoy!
