Group Homes residents take a tour of the Peninsula
Our Group Homes residents recently had the most amazing Peninsula tour with so many highlights in just one day! The tour included a boat trip to Seal Island and a visit to an ostrich farm. Dafna Sher, the tour guide from Escape to Cape Tours, was delighted that they all had such a fabulous time.
Mandela Day fun
Many of our workers have attended the clinic over a number years and this was the reason for choosing the patients and staff as recipients for this year’s Mandela Day. They were warmly welcomed by the staff who were most appreciative of the gesture.
Alan celebrates his 60th birthday
Alan Weiner celebrated his 60th birthday with family and friends at a party held at Astra Centre. Alan has worked at Astra Centre since 1981. His co-workers made a beautiful card for him to acknowledge his special day. Some workers gave speeches and fellow Vriende Street residents commented on Alan’s sense of humour and helpfulness.
