A gorgeous spring day and a great turnout from the Cape Town community made WIZO’s Yom Tov Market the place to be on 10 September.
All the WIZO branches put in a fantastic effort, resulting in a wide variety of stalls offering wonderful gifts and treats for Rosh Hashana, delectable food and lots of collectibles for bargain hunters. There were also many outside vendors, who took the chance to display their fantastic products to the community.
Kiddies too had much to keep them busy, taking the chance to hold and feed the animals at the petting zoo, play 5-a-side soccer with Maccabi, or get creative with the many arts and crafts stalls on offer.
WIZO would like to thank everyone involved for all their hard work, Sammy and his Weizmann team and the Habonim volunteers who helped clean up at the end of the market, and a special thank you to Checkers for its generous sponsorship.
