Demi Katz represented the Western Cape in u11 long jump at the South African championships where she placed 5th in South Africa. She was the only Jewish athlete to qualify for Western Province, Western Cape and the SA Championships.
Her path to SA Champs took grit and determination and involved placing first in 80m, 100m sprints and long jump at interschools, first at zonals for 80m, 100m sprints and long jump, first at district champs for long jump and placing second at Western Province Champs and Western Cape Champs for long jump.
Demi is in Grade 5 at Reddam House Tokai.
