Wellington Cemetery update

Wellington Cemetery Repair 2019
Restored tombstones at the Wellington Cemetery

On 24 December 2019, a year after the desecration of 39 tombstones, the Wellington Cemetery Restoration team visited the site.

The latest report is that all 63 tombstones have been placed flat and that the new wall has had its foundations laid and some of the wall has started to go up. To ensure that the new wall and pathways can be complete, we still require funding.
