The Bein haShmashot Youth Choir, from Beit Shemesh, Israel, recently visited Astra Centre.
They performed beautifully for the workers, engaging them in song and dance. Afterwards, they broke up into groups and volunteered in the various workshops, where they interacted more personally with the workers.
The leader of the group remarked that the choir had performed on some of the biggest stages in Europe, but they felt that this was the most meaningful and best performance they had ever done. It was a memorable and special treat for both the visitors and the Astra community alike.
Astra is grateful to Yvette Rosenberg from the Zionist Federation for making the event possible.
