After much anticipation, The Jews of District Six: Another Time, Another Place exhibition opened at the South African Jewish Museum on 11 November.
The exhibition was sponsored by the Kaplan-Kushlick Foundation. The opening address was delivered by Rhoda Kadalie. The exhibition offers a first-hand account of the early years of the Cape Town Jewish community; and how in this neighbourhood, the community took root in the city. Its legacy remains to this day.
This unique exhibition is sure to bring back fond memories that will take you back to another time and another place.
The exhibition will be on show at the SAJM until early March 2013. See page 18 for more details.
