Eden inspires members who have dedicated a lifetime of work to WIZO

Janene Currie congratulates members of Strand/Somerset West/Stellenbosch branch on celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding. Ray Perel, Isa Herring, Beverly Zetler, Ingrid Edelstein, Ettie Buch and Michelle Miller with Moonyeen Castle.

In a wonderful ceremony held at Sephardi Shul Hall in September, BZA WIZO honoured its special members who have dedicated 40, 50, 60 and 65 years of active service to the organisation.

It was a lovely, heart-warming morning, with inspiring young guest speaker and graduate of the Neve WIZO project, Eden Ben Shitrit. Eden gave a deeply moving, at times heart-wrenching account of how Neve WIZO changed her and her brother’s lives for the better.

With grateful thanks to those who generously sponsored the awards: Shelley Friedman of the George Elkin Trust; the Kesler and Moritz families; the Movsowitz and Golan families; and the Neimann, Farber and Myers families.
