Sixteen-year-old Zach Brivik has again won first place and a trophy at the prestigious Western Province Full Contact Karate Competition held on 5 May in Cape Town.
Zach has again achieved full Western Province colours and was selected for the second time to represent South Africa as a Springbok at the European Championships to be held in Sweden in October this year.
Not only did Zach perform well in the competition, but he was also awarded by a Committee of Senior Karate teachers and representatives of the Karate community in South Africa, an award for being the most proficient and spirited fighter.
Only one such award was handed out at the tournament which included fighters from all age groups including an open category.
