BERLIN FOR JEWS by Leonard Barkan
The book is divided into a cultural guide of ‘places’ for the travel-minded and ‘people’ for those interested in the history of Berlin. It examines Jewish life in Berlin providing an account of prominent Jews in the arts, sciences and public life. Barkan acknowledges how despite the atrocities of the Nazi era and the absence of a large Jewish population today we have left an imprint. He compliments his writing with a gallery of interesting photos.
