Community Water Crisis Meeting

Deputy Mayor of Cape Town, Alderman Ian Neilson addressed community concerns and questions around the water crisis in Cape Town at a 150-member strong community meeting; Rael Kaimowitz, Chair of the SAJBD (Cape) announced strategic plans to help those vulnerable members of the community including the elderly and people living with disabilities.

He explained that essential drinking and cooking water would be delivered to them via their shuls with whom the Board is working closely, alongside the CSO. Key community locations such as the Jewish Day Schools, Highlands House and Samson Centre have all put significant water saving measures in place to continue functioning during this time of severe drought.
