Diller Teen Fellows embrace growth and leadership

Cohort 9 Jewish Identity Shabbaton

By Eytan Labe

The Diller Teen Fellows Programme kicks off 2024 with a vibrant start, reflecting on a December filled with virtual community building activities. Reunited for a Jewish Identity Shabbaton in Langebaan, the Fellows explored their Jewish identity and the unique context of being South African Jews. This introspective journey deepened their bonds, setting the tone for a year of self-discovery.

Now, the focus shifts to the Leadership pillar, marked by an eagerly anticipated Leadership Shabbaton crafted entirely by the teens. Their recent HintHunt outing emphasised effective communication in leadership, and the introduction of a Leadership Toolbox highlighted crucial skills, emphasising a growth mindset. As they approach 2024 with purpose and enthusiasm, the Diller Teen Fellows are poised for a transformative year of growth, leadership, and positive community impact.
