IC is one of the largest gatherings of Jewish teen leaders worldwide, bringing together thousands of BBYO members, alumni, and supporters from around the globe for a multi-day experience featuring leadership training, inspiring speakers, music performances, service projects, and networking opportunities. IC serves as a celebration of Jewish life, community, and activism, fostering connections across different regions and countries.
Global Ambassadors Week is a special part of IC designed for international delegates. It provides an extended leadership experience, allowing Jewish teens from outside North America to connect more deeply with one another and with BBYO’s global movement. This programme includes cultural exchange activities, leadership development sessions, and opportunities to collaborate on global Jewish initiatives before the main IC events begin.
BBYO SA received a record number of Teen applicants this year to attend this experience. Of 119 applicants, 32 were selected to represent South Africa. These Teens show exemplary leadership potential and skills, and a willingness to learn and lead. We are excited for them to learn and grow through this experience, and bring their new connections and experiences to grow our community and our movement.
