Herzlia High School, one of SA’s top-performing independent schools, celebrated the outstanding achievements of their Matric Class of 2024 with the latest accolades released by the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).
Exceptional Individual Achievements
Mazaltov to Daniel Bieber, who achieved an impressive seven distinctions and placed second in the Metro Central District for Independent Schools.
Additionally, Herzlia pupils excelled in individual subject WCED rankings:
• Daniel Bieber: Achieved first place in Economics in the Western Cape.
• Joshua Atie: Ranked in the Top 10 provincially for Economics.
• Idana Saven: Ranked fourth place in the Province for Dance Studies.

• 2nd in the Metro Central (MC) district for the percentage of pupils achieving a Bachelor’s pass
• Mathematics & Physical Sciences: Recognition for consistency in excellence in the MC
• Economics & History: Herzlia is officially ranked first in the Western Cape
• Accounting: Herzlia achieved the highest overall aggregate in the Western Cape (89.3%) for schools with a 100% pass rate – every pupil achieved a distinction!
