Every year on the weekend of the Pride March, Temple Israel celebrates the diversity of our Jewish community with Pride Shabbat, dedicated to including and welcoming all of the LGBTQIA+ community to our shul. With a packed synagogue, music, singing and a heaving brochah (including rainbow kitkes!), we were Proud to add Pride Shabbat 2025 to our long list of celebrations. Our guest speaker this year was Marc Feitelberg, founder and former director of the South African College of Applied Psychology, who used the Exodus from Egypt as a metaphor for coming out and becoming who we all need to be. ●
