Three Capetonians joined around 4 000 Chabad-Lubavitch women emissaries and lay leaders in New York during February for the 35th annual International Conference of Chabad Women Emissaries, the largest Jewish women’s leadership gathering in the world.
Chanchi Malka (Chabad House for Israelis & Tourists), Ariella Goldman (Chabad on Campus), and Zeesy Deren (Sinai Academy – Jewish International School and Chabad West Coast Blouberg) joined women from over 100 countries for five days of workshops, networking, and spiritual renewal.
Chabad-Lubavitch women emissaries, known as shluchos, manage and grow Jewish communities worldwide, often in remote locations with minimal Jewish infrastructure.
The final event of the conference was a gala dinner, themed ‘connection’ highlighting the bonds that unite Jewish people worldwide with one another. ●
