Members of the Cape Town Jewish community found themselves in the thick of the recent Silvermine fire. Having gone on a hike in the area, they started out in perfect conditions, with no trace of the fire nearby. But, as the weather and wind conditions changed suddenly, they were trapped at Silvermine Dam. Thanks to the dedication of two SANParks rangers, the group made it out of what was a truly terrifying experience.
Doryce Sher from Sea Point, whose car was totally burnt out in the fire, shared her experience during an interview on Cape Talk. Listen to the interview here.
