Entrepreneurs’ Network sparks business growth and innovation in Cape Town

How to Grow your Business event

The Entrepreneurs’ Network (EN), founded to support and inspire Cape Town’s next generation of business leaders, continues to deliver dynamic events that connect, uplift, and empower.

As a proud founding partner, the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies (Cape SAJBD) celebrates EN’s growing impact– not just on the entrepreneurial landscape, but on South Africa’s broader social and economic future.

In June 2025, EN hosted two standout events that exemplify the network’s mission to fuel entrepreneurship, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to building a better South Africa.

‘How to Grow Your Business’ – Panel discussion at the Entrepreneurs’ Networking Hub

Held on 11 June 2025 at Inospace’s Powder Mill, this engaging panel discussion placed the spotlight on three accomplished entrepreneurs who have each successfully navigated the turbulent waters of business growth, scaling, and adaptation.

The session featured a panel discussion moderated by Jodi Sher, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Inospace, with Courtney Blandin de Chalain, CEO of skincare brand Lelive; Matthew Davey, Co-founder & CEO of the logistics innovator TUNL; and Doryce Sher, Founder & Director of Aromatic Apothecary, a wellness and aromatherapy company.

Each speaker took the ‘hot seat’ to share their business journey – offering candid insights into the toughest challenges they’ve faced, the most valuable lessons learned, and the proudest milestones they’ve reached. The atmosphere was electric with authenticity and practical wisdom, as attendees walked away with fresh tools and inspiration for their own ventures.

Hosted in partnership with Inospace, this event reaffirmed EN’s commitment to providing a supportive and practical space for entrepreneurs to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and grow their networks.

Fireside Chat with Global Award Winners

On 23 June 2025, EN lit up the evening with an intimate Fireside Chat held at the All Office venue in Observatory. On the comfort of the couches and furniture of All Office, attendees celebrated the achievements of two remarkable young entrepreneurs: Harry Scherzer of Future Forex, and Jamie Thurston Wyngaard of Loop.

Both were recently recognised as winners of the prestigious Global Forty Under 40 Awards Africa. Their stories, shared in a relaxed and open format, resonated deeply with the audience. From breakthrough moments to unexpected setbacks, Scherzer and Wyngaard spoke about the real experience of launching and scaling businesses in South Africa.

Beyond their personal success, what stood out was their shared vision for the country: that entrepreneurship is not just about profit, but about building solutions, creating meaningful employment, and making a tangible difference.

The Cape SAJBD, as a founding partner of EN, is proud to support this vital platform for business leadership. In a country where job creation and economic inclusion are critical, EN plays a transformative role in empowering individuals and building sustainable futures.

Through events like these, the Entrepreneurs’ Network continues to foster a culture of resilience, collaboration, and bold thinking – key ingredients for a thriving South Africa. ●
