Mazaltov to the Class of 2025

Your success is our shared nachas

Herzlia’s 2025 matric results reflect something deeper than strong marks. They reflect a community school, supported by a committed community, where success is built together.

Ninety pupils wrote the National Senior Certificate in 2025, achieving a 100% matric pass rate, with every eligible candidate earning a Bachelor’s pass. The class achieved an overall average of 77.9%, alongside 346 subject distinctions, averaging 3.84 distinctions per candidate.

According to an independent report, Herzlia placed 3rd in South Africa among schools writing the NSC examinations, measured by distinctions per candidate, a metric that reflects depth and consistency across an entire cohort. A particular highlight was Physical Sciences, where Herzlia ranked 1st nationally according to the same criteria, alongside high national placements in Mathematics and Information Technology.

In the Western Cape, Herzlia placed 8th overall at the WCED Awards, with first-place subject recognitions in Economics, History and Visual Art. At Metro Central District level, individual first-place honours were awarded in Visual Arts and Dance.

Behind every statistic stand invested families, dedicated teachers and a community that believes education is a shared responsibility. Herzlia is proudly a community school. When our pupils succeed, it reflects the collective commitment around them.

Mika Bacher (left/top) placed 1st in Dance in the Metro Central District, reflecting outstanding commitment and excellence in the performing arts.

Halo Gibson (right/below) achieved shared 1st place in Visual Arts in the Metro Central District, a significant individual recognition in a highly competitive subject.

Chai to Chai

At Herzlia, Matric results are never a one-year story. They are 12 years in the making. To walk through our gates is to step into a living heritage, one rooted in Jewish continuity and flourishing here in Cape Town. Each year at Chai to Chai, our Grade 1s stand beside our matric pupils, marking that full journey from early childhood to graduation. “Chai” means life, and its value of 18 reflects that complete circle.

When we celebrate the Class of 2025, we celebrate years of growing head and heart together. Now the Matric Class of 2026 steps forward. Behatzlachah. We are all behind you.
