When black and white become dangerously grey

On 18 November the SA Zionist Federation Cape Council was fortunate to host Olga Meshoe.

She gave an excellent talk on the topic: ‘When Black and White become Dangerously Grey’. Ms Meshoe examined how grey, a neutral shade, can be a unifying factor, but how in current society, being grey and not taking a stand for what is right has the ability to destroy.

Being a great supporter of Israel, she is a firm friend of the South African Jewish community. She is excited by the potential that can be achieved if South Africa had to learn from Israel in industries such as technology and agriculture. Real transformation in South Africa can come about through South Africa collaborating with Israel.

As the founder of an organisation called DEISI (pronounced Daisy) which is an acronym for Defend, Embrace, Invest, Support Israel, Ms Meshoe believes in creating awareness, educating South Africans and forging relationships for the benefit of Israel, Jews, South Africans and Christians. Ms. Meshoe recently returned from a two week visit in Israel along with 30 other members of DEISI. We look forward to hearing more from this special lady very soon.

Olga Meshoe has a law degree from the University of Pretoria and is the daughter of Reverend Kenneth Meshoe of the ACDP (African Christian Democratic Party).
