Cape Town Limmud – A Family Affair

This year’s Limmud conference is for the whole family, no matter what age the children. Parents are invited to take their children on a dynamic Jewish journey at YOUNG LIMMUD (SA) Cape Town. A fun and stimulating line-up of Jewish themed activities specifically catering for children, from babies to teenagers, will be offered at this year’s Limmud Conference, which is being held at the refurbished Goudini Spa, from 31 July to 2 August.

The weekend getaway will be an opportunity for young children to experience the beauty of Jewish tradition and learning in the form of games, song and discussion. The high quality Young Limmud programming for children parallels their parents’ experience and ensures that everyone in the family can take one step further on their Jewish journey.

Whether it be challah making, a Shabbat service, Israeli dancing, Mini- Israel Putt Putt, yoga or arts and crafts, the entire programme is well organised. A supervised crèche facility will also be provided for the littlest ones, as well as evening babysitting.

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to interact, meet and play with new friends from all over Cape Town. Young Limmud for teenagers is a forum for debate, challenge and growth which will extend their boundaries and invigorate their thinking. It is an opportunity for young teens to meet one another and share a unique Jewish experience in a fun and openminded environment, with presenters who bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding.

All youth programmes run concurrently with adult sessions, enabling parents to enjoy the weekend’s activities, secure in the knowledge that their children are safe, happy and stimulated.

There is an inspiring programme for everyone at Limmud — a family conference experience awaits you! If you would like to be notified on how your children can feast and fly on some great Jewish soul food, contact: krisemanj@ yahoo.com to get onto the Limmud (SA) Cape Town mailing list.
