Rosalie Wolpe turns 109 on 25 August.
She was born in Cape Town and attributes her longevity to the fact that she never drove a motorcar and walked everywhere.
Rosalie used to run a tea room in Muizenberg. Then she ran Chambers De Luxe on Greenmarket Square, frequented by Members of Parliament.
She wears spectacles for reading only, and gets around using a rolator for balance. Every day she dresses smartly and always wears heels! Rosalie has two children and five grandchildren.
