Shabbat of Sivan 14 (5 June) was a momentous one for our congregation.
Rabbi Sergio Bergman delivered the Dvar Torah on his first Shabbat as President of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, the largest body of religious Jews in the world today.
Linking the WUPJ’s work to the parasha (Bha’alotecha), those present were treated to a sermon of passion and clarity of thought that clearly showed that this leader will be ensuring continued growth, in learning and numbers, of our movement. We are very grateful to him for being with us and look forward to sharing his journey with him.
