Celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut 75 years

In late April, we had an incredible day celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut 75 years with the Cape Town Jewish community! The South African Zionist Federation – Cape Council and United Herzlia Schools partnered up to make this event one to remember.

The Cape Town community was out in full force with over 2 200 people attended this amazing celebration on the slopes of Table Mountain. The atmosphere was electric with so many people coming together to celebrate Israel’s independence day. It was a fantastic day of celebration and unity!

The event was packed with exciting activities such as fun rides, delicious food, and a market with wonderful goodies for sale. As for the music, we were treated to amazing performances by DJ Fleischi, Ivor Joffe and the Herzlia Vocal Ensemble, GoodLuck band, and DJ Yos.

We’re so grateful to our special volunteers and service providers who contributed to the success of the event. And a huge thank you to our sponsors, without whom this event would not have been possible. Thanks to our primary sponsor, the Eric and Sheila Samson Foundation. EL AL and Ben & Esta Levitas sponsored the lucky draw prizes and made the winners very happy!
