Herzlia pupils travel to the USA for BBOY

Every year over 5 000 top Jewish teen leaders, educators, professionals and philanthropists from around the world gather for one of the largest Jewish communal annual events. A group of Herzlia pupils were selected to attend this year’s B’nai B’rith Youth Organisation (BBOY) Centennial International Convention in New York. They were given the opportunity to make lifelong connections with Jewish teens from around the globe and experience inspiring speakers such as Noah Tishby and Tiffany Haddish and performances by celebs Flo Rida and Noa Kirel, winner of Eurovision. Future leaders and mensches

Herzlia Highlands Primary Gr 6s loved completing the Lead4Life ‘Leaders in Action’ programme which amplifies Herzlia’s holistic academic offering with out of the classroom adventure-learning experiences. This provides pupils an opportunity for self-expression, fun and enjoyment, personal introspection, bonding and team building!

Herzlia makes a splash at first Knysna Chukka Festival

Herzlia High School girls and boys U18 and U15 teams travelled to Knysna in February on a sports tour competing for the very first time
in the Knysna Chukka Festival hosted by Oakhill High School. The event created three water polo ‘pools’ in the Knysna Quays harbour
in the majestic Knysna lagoon. All the teams played their hearts out, gained experience and represented Herzlia with pride.

Mazinter Cup final is just the beginning

Kol Hakavod to Herzlia first team boys’ water polo for making it, once again, into the prestigious annual Mazinter Cup finals against Somerset College. It was a nail-biting match and, despite giving 100%, they lost by just one point with 5-4. They’re already planning next year’s comeback once the new Herzlia Aquatics Centre is built and they can train in style! Water Polo is a hugely popular sport at Herzlia and it was amazing to see the ruach from a huge Herzlia supporters stand with high school and primary school pupils, teachers, parents and alumni in attendance all shouting for our team!

Grade 1s and 6s Buddy Up!

Herzlia Highlands and Weizmann Primaries launched their annual Buddy Programme where Gr6 pupils pair up with Gr1 pupils to offer mentorship and support and create a positive and supportive introduction to the primary school experience. It’s special to see new Herzlia mensches-in-training!

Herzlia U17 XI win Rohan Bloom Foundation trophy

Another year, another thrilling win at the much-loved annual Rohan Bloom Foundation white ball day/night cricket event. Herzlia’s U17 XI played against Bishops and excelled throughout the match, taking the win by 19 runs.
