CATS – one of the most iconic and beloved musicals in theatre history – will open over the festive season at Artscape in Cape Town on 10 December 2025. CATS features Andrew Lloyd Webber’s celebrated score, including the unforgettable ballad ‘Memory’.

Tannah Levick plays Rumpleteazer, a ‘triple threat’ role that requires a range of theatrical skills. Having grown up in Johannesburg, Tannah has spent a great deal of time in Cape Town, first as a student at LAMTA, where she completed her course as a member of the first graduating class in early 2022.

Being selected for this role is a huge accomplishment for her, she says. “It was a long casting process,” she explains, “and I had to wait for quite a while before I was notified that I’d been chosen. Although it’s a hard show to perform in, I’m loving every minute of it!”

Tannah’s musical and drama talent is probably in her genes. As a granddaughter of the iconic David Gresham of South African music fame, it’s almost inevitable that Tannah has chosen to make the stage her life! ●
