While the Crumbs & Cream factory is kosher certified, their retail locations in Sea Point and Waterfront are not under Kosher SA supervision. However, one can still purchase ice cream by the scoop when adhering to the guidelines of the following ice cream policy: There are many ice cream stores that sell kosher certified ice cream but are not themselves under supervision.
To purchase ice cream from these stores, you need to ensure that the carton is in its original factory container, has our logo on it or is listed on our website. Additionally you should make sure that the scoop is clean. If you want to add toppings or have the ice cream in a cone, you need to check whether these items are kosher certified as well.
