This past month, Netzer hosted and ran kids’ programmes and activities throughout the High Holy Days at the Temple Israel centres. It was a wonderful time to learn about the holidays as well as about Netzer. We ran various activities from crafting photo frames and dreamcatchers on Rosh Hashanah to making spice bags for the congregations for our havdalah on Yom Kippur, and teaching our channichimot about the importance of each holiday and how we as the youth can engage and educate others in our community about these holidays and traditions that follow, truly spreading our Netzer spirit and inviting youth to be a part of these experiences.
We have more exciting and educationally enriching events to come, as well as our Summer Machaneh from 14–16 December.
