Jetour vehicle brand brings affordable luxury to Cape Town

Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus

Affordable luxury, backed by innovation and reliability, characterises a new SUV vehicle brand recently launched in South Africa: Jetour. The brand has gained attention, and today there are more than 40 dealerships across the country. A major factor behind the brand’s rising popularity is its affordability.

“Jetour is not about being cheaper, it’s about bringing premium luxury cars in at the right point for the South African consumer, making them more affordable,” says Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa. “The cars represent affordable luxury – a term that encompasses quality vehicles with attention to detail in design, technology, performance and comfort.”

Available currently in South Africa is the 7-seater Jetour X70 Plus, which combines advanced technology, roomy interiors, and exceptional safety features, making it a good option for both families and explorers who seek comfort, style, and reliability on the road. The Jetour X70 Plus features a bold exterior including a striking grille, LED headlights, and chrome accents, while the refined cabin showcases ambient lighting and red-stitched detailing.

The 5-seater Jetour Dashing, an urban SUV, is the second of the two models currently available. It is distinct for its blend of leading technology, modern style, and youthful energy, highlighted by sleek, dynamic lines and an innovative design concept. The interiors are particularly user-friendly.

A 1.5-litre turbocharged engine powers both models, and they include pioneering safety innovations, including ABS with EBD, tyre-pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill-hold control system, and ISOFIX child-seat anchors. The Deluxe variants of both the Dashing and X70 Plus include an additional two airbags, a panoramic sunroof, rain sensors, and supplementary driver-assistance technologies.

According to Campbell, “We have great faith in the quality of the vehicles’ engines, as is clear from our warranty – it covers the engine for up to 1 million kilometres of driving.”

Where the accessibility of parts is concerned, this can be a worry when a new brand comes into the country. “We’ve taken account of this,” explains Campbell, “and have ensured that drivers will not experience delays should a vehicle need a replacement part. So, our after-sales strategy includes retaining R100 million in parts in stock in South Africa.”

“Safe, luxurious, and excellent value for money”; “affordable yet packed with features”; “stylish and comfortable”; “high-spec technology at a competitive price”; and “a true showstopper,” were some of the comments from satisfied new Jetour customers during research conducted by the brand recently.
